Gurugram/New Delhi, July 15, 2026: Marking World Plastic Surgery Day, Delhi-NCR-based Divine Cosmetic Surgery held an awareness session led by founder and plastic surgeon Dr. Amit Gupta. The session aimed to inform attendees about the actual scope of plastic surgery and its various applications. Divine Cosmetic Surgery, which operates out of Delhi and Gurgaon, states it has completed more than 25,000 procedures over more than two decades, spanning hair restoration, breast surgery, body contouring and reconstructive work.
Plastic Surgery Is Not Just About Beauty: Dr. Amit Gupta
At the session, Dr. Gupta sought to address common misconceptions surrounding plastic surgery, noting that the field extends well beyond cosmetic or beauty-focused procedures into reconstructive work. According to Divine's public materials, the practice's scope includes hair restoration (more than 7,500 hair transplant procedures across FUE, FUT, direct implantation and robotic techniques), breast surgery, body contouring (including VASER technique), and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Gupta's own training runs through Maulana Azad Medical College (MBBS, MS, with a super-specialisation in plastic surgery), followed by international fellowships in 2008 with surgeons in Belgium and Brazil covering facelift, endoscopic and body-contouring techniques.
23 Years in Practice, a Claimed Position as North India's Largest Centre
Divine Cosmetic Surgery describes itself as the largest plastic surgery centre in North India, a position it says it reached in 2021. The practice states it draws an international patient base from the US, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and Russia, and credits Dr. Gupta with the deepest VASER body-contouring caseload in North India. Ordinary trust signals cited by the practice include more than 380 Google reviews, 34 reviews on physician-directory platform Practo, and a Facebook following of nearly 8,000 — figures drawn from Divine's own digital profiles.
Women-Focused Brand Aeona Takes Centre Stage
The awareness session also spotlighted Divine's newer, women-only brand, Aeona, launched in 2025. Per the brand's own launch messaging, Aeona is positioned as a space for women to make aesthetic decisions “without judgment, without fear.” It carries a distinct, more emotionally-driven brand identity separate from Divine's clinical positioning, while drawing on Divine's two decades of procedural trust behind the scenes. The company describes this as a house-of-brands approach more familiar from consumer goods — one parent brand supplying credibility, and a focused sub-brand supplying relevance to a specific patient segment.
Building Credibility Through Training as Well
Dr. Gupta also runs a Fellowship in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, through which he trains other surgeons in techniques including VASER body contouring. Programmes of this kind function as an additional credibility marker in medicine, according to the practice, since they are validated by peer surgeons rather than by patients alone.
