"Over the past several weeks, students across the country have raised serious and legitimate concerns about the integrity of national entrance examinations. IDC India has followed these developments closely, given our own work in academic publishing and research through the IDCIJST journal and our broader engagement with India's education ecosystem.
We welcome the government's decision to constitute a dedicated task force, led by Shri Nandan Nilekani and comprising experts drawn from technology, space research, security, computer science, and education administration, to recommend structural reforms to the examination system. We also note the transition in leadership at the Ministry of Education, with Shri Pralhad Joshi assuming charge.
IDC India hopes that the new Ministry leadership and the task force will engage directly and transparently with the concerns students have raised — on question paper security, candidate verification, examination centre management, and accountability at every stage of the process. Millions of students and families place their trust in these examinations each year, often at significant personal and financial cost. Restoring that trust requires visible, verifiable action, not only structural recommendations on paper.
As an organisation committed to strengthening India's research, innovation and education institutions, IDC India stands ready to contribute wherever our academic and publishing platforms — including IDCIJST — can support informed public discussion on examination reform. We hope the coming months bring meaningful, lasting relief to the students and families who have borne the weight of this uncertainty."
